About me

Hi, I’m Daria. I’m a portrait photographer based in Connecticut, specializing in maternity, motherhood, and women’s portraiture.

I’m also a mom of two — which is exactly why I do this work.

Here’s something I think about a lot: there’s a beautiful dress hanging in your closet that you bought for “someday” and never wore. Or maybe you scroll past gorgeous photos and think “I’d love something like that, but where would I even go?” That’s literally what my studio is for. A place to put on something beautiful, feel taken care of, and walk out with photos that actually look like you — not the rushing-between-errands version, but the version you already are when you give yourself five minutes to breathe.

How I work

I shoot in a studio in Hartford, CT with editorial lighting — the kind of light you see in magazines. It’s controlled, dramatic, and designed to make you look incredible.

If you love being directed, I’ve got you — I’ll guide every pose down to your fingertips. If you’re more of a “just let me move and be myself” person, we can do that too. Some of my favorite shots happen when someone stops thinking about the camera and just exists in the moment. Either way, you’ll look like you — just the best version.

I also have a curated client wardrobe with beautiful dresses and pieces you can use during your session. So if you don’t know what to wear, I’ve already solved that problem for you.

A Few Things About Me

Before photography, I spent years as a video editor working on weddings and commercial projects. That background taught me how to see a story in a single frame — how light, composition, and timing come together to make something feel cinematic.

I’m a self-taught artist and a perpetual student. I’m always taking courses, learning new techniques, and pushing my work to get better. I genuinely love the craft side of this as much as the people side.

When I’m not shooting, I’m probably surrounded by my two kids, two dogs, and two cats — or drinking coffee that went cold an hour ago. I’d love to photograph you. Get in touch — I’m friendly, I promise.
