Reviews

Some moments deserve more than a quick photo between everything else you’re doing.

You keep meaning to book something. But you’re tired in a way you can’t explain to anyone, nothing in your closet feels like you anymore, and the thought of figuring out what to wear and how to stand makes you want to lie down instead.

Meanwhile the bump is almost gone.

Almost every mom I talk to says some version of the same thing afterward: “I wish I had done it.” You only get this once, with this baby, and one day they will want to see how they were carried.

You won’t have to plan a single thing. That is the entire point of me.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

A portrait of you. And, if you’d like, a film.

The portrait is for the woman inside the pregnancy. Styled, directed, and photographed like art at the most transformed you will ever be. Even if right now you don’t feel beautiful in anything you own. That part is my job, not yours.

Before I ever picked up a camera, I spent years working as a professional video editor. So alongside your photographs, I can make you a short cinematic film with the real sound in it: your voice, the quiet of the room, the words you’d want your child to hear one day.

A photograph helps you remember how it looked. A film lets you hear how it felt.

These images are for the version of you that comes later.

THE MATERNITY SESSION · $850

Up to 90 minutes, in your home. I bring the studio to you.

Included:

  • Pre-session planning and a moodboard built around you
  • My full client closet brought to your door: gowns and pieces in a wide range of sizes, so there is nothing to buy and nothing to guess at
  • Professional lighting and a portrait backdrop set up in your space
  • Complete posing and expression direction, start to finish
  • 30+ fully edited images, delivered in a private gallery you can download

Partners and older children are welcome in a few frames. Mostly, this one is about you.

ADD A FILM

  • 1 minute — $400
  • 3 minutes — $800
  • Letters to Baby — $400. A few quiet words from your partner and your older children about how they are waiting for this baby, woven into your film. One day your child will not just see how loved they were before they arrived. They will hear it.

Films are chosen before your session, because they add a little filming time to the day.

If you’re not adding a film, your session includes a short vertical teaser reel to share.

COLLECTIONS

Because the bump is only the first chapter.

BABY’S FIRST YEAR — $2,400 The whole story, planned before baby even arrives: any three sessions within one year. Usually the bump, the newborn weeks, and the first birthday. Or swap in a sitting-up milestone, whichever chapters you want to keep.

All the edited images from all three sessions, plus a $150 product credit. Your dates are held in advance, so through the entire first year you never once have to think about “finding a photographer.” It’s already done.

If you add a film, it can span all three sessions as one story: the bump, the baby who was inside it, and the person they’re becoming.

BUMP TO BABY — $1,600 Any two sessions within one year, usually maternity and newborn. All the edited images from both, plus a $100 product credit. And when you’re deep in those first newborn weeks, your photographer is already booked. One less thing to figure out at 2am.

Payment plans available on both. And if you book a single session and fall in love, everything you’ve paid goes toward a collection.

THE EXPERIENCE

We start with you

A short questionnaire: how do you want to feel when you see yourself — soft, powerful, timeless? What makes you nervous? What do you want to remember about this exact season? I read every word. This is where your session stops being “a photoshoot” and becomes yours.

Session day

I arrive, set up my lights and backdrop in whichever room has the best light, and we start slow. Music on, shoulders down. I direct every single pose and expression: where to put your hands, when to breathe, when to look away. You never have to guess, and you never have to perform.

Three weeks later

A big, beautiful gallery of all your edited images, ready to download, print, and keep.

Connecticut fine art studio baby portrait.

When is the best time for a maternity session?

Between 27 and 34 weeks — you’re showing, baby has grown, and you’re still comfortable.

Do I need to bring anything to wear?

Not a thing. My studio wardrobe is curated and includes various sizes. If you have a piece that means something to you, bring it — we’ll find a way to use it.

I’m not photogenic and I don’t know how to pose

Almost everyone says this to me. You never have to know a single pose, and I provide everything you’ll wear. Most of my clients have never been photographed like this before.

Do you do classic posed newborn photography?

No, and that’s intentional. I photograph newborns lifestyle: in your arms, against your skin, in the rooms where you already live. No beanbags, no props, no posed shapes. The point is to capture how it actually felt to hold them in the first weeks.

This is your moment.

Let’s make it beautiful.
